MAN MADE BOARDS FOR FURNITURE PRODUCTION
To speed up furniture production and also significantly lower costs for mass market a man made boards were invented at the beginning of 20th century. First hardboards, then mdfs, plywoods and alikes. Later on finishes were added to allow for even quicker manufacturing times. Melamine boards, sprayed, wood grain imitations, modern shapes and designs were introduced and they quickly placed themselves in the furniture and fit out markets.
